Of all my creative pursuits, making music is a constant. I’m lucky to have a partner who loves it as much as I do. Below are various projects and bands I am currently part of.
Based in Providence, RI, Blood Chimeras is Nicole Lagace and Ian Wilson Ross surfing a dark wave of synth, guitar, and programmed drum beats. Listen to their debut ep.
Formed in 2024, Dëmonstration Tapes is Kelly Burke – vox/guitar, Ian Wilson Ross – lead guitar, Starr Harris – drums and Nicole Lagace – bass. Inspired by a vast collection of records and appreciation for various genres, the band’s songs have been touted as familiar, but entirely unique. The interplay of Nicole and Ian’s riffs blend with Kelly’s bluesy vocals and Starr’s creative drum play for music that feels nostalgic without being contrived.
Formed in 2011, Gertrude Atherton is Melanie Fuest – drums, Nicole Lagace – bass/vox, and Shannon LeCorre – vox/guitar. Their music is hard, filled with destorted riffs and heavy drums. They’ve been noted as a “sludgy Sleeter-Kinney”, but is that just a gender comparison? Listen to them on all streaming platforms or bandcamp.
Twin Goat is the moniker for a studio only recording project featuring Nicole Lagace, Ian Wilson Ross, and frequent collaborators. Started in 2001, the duo typically records new music every February for the RPM Challenge. Ian likes to set parameters to make each recording different, but distinctly Twin Goat.
